Message from Susan Quinn

Dear Members and Friends

The next pub evening of the HPEA will take place on Tuesday 15th October. On this occasion I am pleased to say that we will be having as our guest speaker Jessica McBride, Founder and Director of Dellasposa Gallery which opened in Bathurst Street in 2016. Jessica is therefore a member of our community and she is very keen to come along to speak to us to tell us about the gallery which is a wonderful addition to the cultural life of our area. As Jessica describes it, "Dellasposa is a contemporary art gallery that looks beyond the traditional white cube by embracing the online and offline experience of art in the digital age."

She will explain to us how the gallery curates exhibitions and provides a holistic approach to collecting art by anticipating collectors' unstated and future needs by offering additional services and an independent and impartial advisory. Jessica is very keen to discuss the gallery with us and to answer any questions that you may have. I hope that you will come along and support this evening which I am sure will be of interest to all of us.

We will meet as usual in the upstairs Theatre Bar of the Victoria Pub on the corner of Sussex Place and Strathearn Place from 6.15 - 8.00pm. Please do come along to hear this talk and also to meet up with your friends and neighbours for a drink and a chat. Dinner afterwards at the The Victoria is also an option which many of our members very much enjoy. We are always looking for new members to join our association so if you know anyone in the area who would be interested in joining, this is a good opportunity to introduce them. A warm welcome is assured.
